Update re: Family Reunion - July 18, 2026!

Hello All,

We are looking to change the Venue to Heritage Park from the Pioneers Bldg. (Pioneers Bldg proving to be too much effort!)

I have secured the Railway Orientation Centre at Heritage Park; they will hold the July 18th evening booking until a January 19 deadline. It will accommodate Max 72 people with a minimum of 40. I have already confirmed 32 so not an issue. Just concerned if we exceed 72?

I’m still holding the Pioneers Bldg booking until their January 16 deadline in case numbers do exceed 72 (the Max at Heritage Park). So, I really need to get confirmed numbers by January 15 to make a decision or consider an alternative. Please reach out to direct family asap.

Heritage Park closes at 5:00 PM to the general public and our event allows us back into the Park for our event at a 6:00 start (possibly a bit earlier). They offer everything we need from catering (BBQ Buffett) / alcohol sales/ audio – visual etc. The Railway Orientation Centre is also an easy walk from the Parking Lot.

We would be able to enjoy the Park prior to the dinner. There is also an option to rent the Moyie (Paddle Wheeler) at $1000.00 for a 1 Hour Cruise (max 100 people) if there is enough interest.

I have also secured a Group Hotel rate at the Best Western Plus Calgary Centre Inn for July 17,18 & 19 for those that need it. $207.00/Night down from $260.00, with a minimum booking of 10 rooms. Under the name Dragland Family Association to make your reservation (1 month prior to stay/date July 17th) Betty Kemp has already confirmed 5 rooms. Should not be an issue getting at least 5 more for that rate.
